Sir Dubbington got himself a Time Machine
Which allowed him to travel
From Here and Now
To There And Then.
He discovered a landscape
Dominated by a mountain,
A volcano that erupted
Scattering lava on the ground below,
Reducing everything in its path to cinders.
Sir Dubbington quickly returned to his Time Machine
And set the controls for the crumbling Neo-Gothic mansion
Which he laughingly called 'home'.
Sir Dubbington wandered through the mansion,
Idly considering whether his journey to pre-history
Had affected the present day.
As he entered the Conservatory,
He saw Madamoiselle Cherbourg
Seated at the pianola;
Except that now,
She had become a dinosaur.
